Azure Subject Matter Expert - Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

Terraform or Bicep We're hiring someone who has an opinion and the production modules to back it up.

We are hiring an Azure Subject Matter Expert - Infrastructure as Code (IaC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. You will be the technical authority for Azure infrastructure, leading IaC, automation and cloud platform engineering for an enterprise transformation programme.

Key responsibilities:

• Design, implement and manage Azure infrastructure aligned to enterprise architecture and security standards
• Build and maintain IaC using Terraform, Bicep and ARM templates
• Design and support Azure landing zones, governance, subscription management and resource organisation
• Implement Azure networking: VNets, VPN, ExpressRoute, NSGs, Load Balancers, Application Gateway, Private Endpoints
• Configure compute, storage, identity (Microsoft Entra ID), monitoring, backup and DR
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure deployment (Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions)
• Troubleshoot complex platform and networking issues; mentor engineers on cloud best practice
• Support cloud migration and modernisation initiatives

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Engineering or related
• 7+ years in infrastructure, cloud or platform engineering
• 3+ years hands-on designing and supporting Microsoft Azure environments
• Proven enterprise IaC with Terraform and/or Bicep
• Azure networking, Entra ID, VMs and platform services, Azure Monitor and Log Analytics
• PowerShell and automation scripting
• Strong understanding of cloud security and governance; fluent English

Preferred: AZ-104, AZ-305, HashiCorp Terraform certification, Azure Landing Zones / Cloud Adoption Framework, AKS / Kubernetes, AWS or GCP exposure.

Location: Kuala Lumpur. Candidates anywhere in Malaysia are welcome if able to work in KL.

Salary: MYR 10,000 - 15,000 per month.
