Role Description The Bancassurance Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in WP Kuala Lumpur, responsible for driving insurance and takaful product sales through the bank's customer channels. The role involves engaging individual and corporate customers to understand their protection and investment needs, recommending suitable bancassurance solutions, and supporting product cross-selling efforts. Daily tasks include conducting customer consultations, preparing proposals, assisting with applications and documentation, and ensuring accurate data entry in line with regulatory and internal standards. The Bancassurance Specialist collaborates with branch staff and product teams to achieve sales targets, deliver high-quality service, and support campaigns and promotional activities. The role also includes staying updated on product features, regulatory requirements, and market trends, and participating in training and performance reviews.

Qualifications

• Strong sales and customer relationship skills, with the ability to identify needs, present solutions, and close bancassurance deals.
• Knowledge of insurance, takaful, and banking products, including basic understanding of investment-linked and protection plans.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to explain financial concepts clearly and build trust with diverse customers.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in handling documentation, compliance requirements, and data entry.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced branch environment, collaborate with colleagues, and meet individual and team performance targets.
• Relevant academic background in finance, business, economics, or related fields; professional insurance or financial certifications are an advantage.
• Previous experience in bancassurance, banking, insurance sales, or financial services is preferred.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional language skills are an added benefit.
