• Junior: 2–4 years experience — Up to RM7,500

Salary will be determined based on relevant experience, technical expertise and overall suitability.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent qualification in a relevant technical field such as Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science or a related discipline.
• Bahasa Malaysia must be Native or Bilingual.
• Malaysian candidates.
• Able to start within 1 month.
• Relevant experience in optical communication, optical module validation, hardware/software QA, telecommunications, networking or high-speed optical testing is required.

JOB OVERVIEW

We are looking for a technically strong and detail-oriented BBN S/W QA – Optical Module Validation Testing professional to join our team in Kuala Lumpur.

This role focuses on the validation, qualification, testing and analysis of high-speed optical modules and optical communication technologies, covering next-generation xPON and Point-to-Point (PtP) optical technologies.

The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience with GPON, XGS-PON, 25G PON, 50G PON and high-speed 40G/100G/400G PtP optical technologies, together with practical knowledge of optical/electrical test equipment, industry standards and signal integrity analysis.

You will work closely with engineering and development teams to ensure optical modules meet required performance, reliability, quality, EMC and safety requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform validation and qualification testing of high-speed optical modules and optical communication products.
• Conduct testing and analysis for xPON technologies, including:
• GPON
• XGS-PON
• 25G PON
• 50G PON
• Conduct testing and validation of Point-to-Point (PtP) optical technologies, including:
• 40G
• 100G
• 400G optical solutions
• Evaluate key electrical and optical performance parameters of high-speed optical modules.
• Perform eye-diagram measurements, analysis and troubleshooting.
• Develop and execute test procedures, test cases and validation plans.
• Operate optical and electrical test instruments to perform module characterization and validation.
• Use DCA (Digital Communication Analyzer), BERT (Bit Error Rate Tester) and related high-speed testing equipment.
• Analyze test results, identify failures or abnormalities and support root-cause investigation.
• Verify optical module performance against relevant industry specifications and standards.
• Work with MSA, IEEE and ITU-T standards applicable to xPON and PtP optical modules.
• Support product qualification activities involving EMC and safety requirements.
• Prepare detailed test reports, analysis results and technical documentation.
• Support troubleshooting and debugging of optical/electrical performance issues.
• Collaborate with R&D, hardware, software, test and engineering teams throughout product validation cycles.
• Continuously improve testing methodologies, validation processes and test efficiency.
