About the Role
Our client is seeking a highly skilled and motivated BIM Manager to lead Building Information Modeling (BIM) efforts on a mission-critical Data Center project. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful digital delivery of complex infrastructure through advanced BIM methodologies, coordination, and stakeholder engagement.
Key Responsibilities
- BIM Strategy & Execution
- Develop and implement the BIM Execution Plan (BEP) in alignment with the data center standards and project delivery protocols.
- Lead BIM coordination meetings and manage clash detection processes using tools such as Navisworks, Revit, and BIM 360/ACC.
- Ensure model accuracy, integrity, and compliance with LOD requirements across all disciplines (MEP, architectural, structural, civil).
- Project Coordination
- Collaborate with design consultants, trade contractors, and client-side stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of BIM workflows.
- Support construction sequencing (4D), cost estimation (5D), and asset data integration (6D) where applicable.
- Monitor and report on BIM deliverables, model health, and coordination status throughout the project lifecycle.
- Technical Leadership
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to project teams on BIM tools, standards, and best practices.
- Interface with the end-user digital delivery team to align on data center-specific BIM protocols and digital twin requirements.
- Manage federated models and ensure data interoperability across platforms.
- Quality & Compliance
- Conduct regular model audits and quality checks to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards (e.g., ISO 19650, PAS 1192).
- Support the integration of BIM with construction management systems and field technologies (e.g., laser scanning, AR/VR, mobile apps).
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of total work experience.
- Preferably 1 year of experience as a BIM Manager on a data center project, or 2+ years on mission-critical infrastructure (e.g., hospitals, labs, high-security facilities). This is an added advantage.
- Proven experience with BIM implementation on large-scale projects.
- Proficiency in Autodesk Revit, Navisworks, BIM 360/ACC, and other BIM-related tools.
- Familiarity with Dynamo, Power BI, or similar tools for data visualization and automation is a plus.
- Understanding of IFC standards, COBie, and digital handover requirements
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- Ability to work in a high-pressure, multicultural environment with tight deadlines.
