About this role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented BIM Modeler to support the delivery of a high-specification Data Center project in Cyberjaya. The role will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and maintaining accurate BIM models across architectural, structural, and MEP disciplines within a fast-paced Design & Build environment.
Experience in mission-critical facilities such as data centers, semiconductor plants, pharmaceutical, or industrial facilities will be an added advantage.
Key Responsibilities
BIM Modeling & Coordination
- Develop and maintain 3D BIM models (Architecture / Structure / MEP)
- Produce coordinated models for construction and shop drawing purposes.
- Perform clash detection using Navisworks and resolve coordination issues with design and site teams.
- Update models based on RFIs, design revisions, and site instructions.
- Generate construction drawings, sections, schedules, and details directly from BIM models.
Project Support
- Support Design & Build coordination meetings with up-to-date federated models.
- Assist in preparing as-built models and handover documentation.
- Ensure compliance with BIM Execution Plan (BEP) and project BIM standards.
- Work closely with engineers, designers, and construction teams to ensure constructability.
Data Center-Specific Scope
- Model critical infrastructure including:
- MV/LV rooms
- Generator and UPS rooms
- Chiller plants and cooling towers
- CRAH/CRAC systems
- Raised floor systems
- Cable trays and containment systems
- Ensure spatial coordination in high-density MEP environments.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Diploma / Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Civil), Architecture, or related discipline.
- Minimum 35 years of BIM modeling experience.
- Experience in Design & Build projects preferred.
- Data Center or mission-critical project experience is highly desirable.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Autodesk Revit (MEP preferred).
- Strong knowledge of Navisworks for clash detection.
- Familiar with AutoCAD and BIM 360 / ACC environment.
- Understanding of LOD requirements and construction sequencing.
- Knowledge of Malaysian building codes and local authority requirements is an advantage.
