Key Responsibilities
- Creating, Developing and maintaining accurate 3D BIM models for Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing (MEP) systems based on 2D drawings, design information and project requirements.
- Interpret engineering and construction drawings and convert them into coordinated BIM models.
- Produce BIM models from LOD 300 up to LOD 500 for various project types, including private sector and government projects.
- Prepare plans, sections, elevations, details and shop drawings directly from the BIM model.
- Ensure all modelling work complies with the approved BIM Execution Plan (BEP), project standards and BISB BIM Execution & Delivery Protocol.
- Create, manage and maintain BIM project templates, families, libraries and standards for MEP works.
- Perform model coordination and identify clashes between MEP systems, architectural and structural disciplines.
- Participate in BIM coordination meetings and assist the project team in resolving design and coordination issues.
- Assisting Material / Snapshot from 3D Model for BIM Coordinator to generate project reports, model progress updates and clash detection reports.
- Create and manage 3D families, parametric components and sub-assemblies.
- Ensure all assigned modelling works are completed efficiently and within the required project timeline.
- Support the site and design teams with BIM-related technical information when required.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2–3 years of working experience in BIM modelling related to MEP works.
- Candidates with 1 year or less of relevant experience are also encouraged to apply. BISB may shortlist candidates based on their demonstrated capability, technical knowledge and confidence during the interview session.
- Experience in various BIM project sectors such as data centres, high-rise developments, infrastructure, industrial or mixed-use projects will be an added advantage.
- Experience working with consultants, contractors, design firms or site teams is preferred.
- Familiarity with BIM project delivery processes, BIM workflows and BIM Execution Plans (BEP).
- Knowledge and experience in developing BIM models from LOD 300 to LOD 500.
- Ability to create and manage Revit families, templates, libraries and project standards.
- BIM-related certification will be an added advantage.
- Good communication, coordination, problem-solving and time management skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team.
Software Requirements:
Candidates should be intermediate / proficient in the following software:
- Autodesk Revit (MEP)
- Autodesk Navisworks
- Autodesk AutoCAD
- Autodesk InfraWorks
- Autodesk BIM Collaborate / Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC)
- Microsoft Office Applications
Knowledge of Dynamo, BIM 360, Recap, Solibri or other BIM-related software will be an added advantage.
