Position: BM Teacher (National)

Purpose of Role

We are looking for a suitably qualified, inspirational and experienced BM Teacher (National) to join our forward-thinking and dynamic teaching team that provides quality teaching and learning for our students.

To teach BM to students for our secondary and upper primary student in accordance with the Malaysian National Curriculum, ensuring effective delivery of lessons, student engagement, and academic progress in a supportive school environment.

The ideal candidate is one who is passionate, resourceful and innovative in teaching approach. ISP Malaysia operates the Tenby Schools, Asia Pacific Schools and Straits International Schools where we are strategically located covering the Klang Valley, Perak, Penang and Johor within Malaysia. Position: BM Teacher (National)

Key Responsibilities

  • Curriculum Delivery
    • Plan and deliver engaging BM lessons
    • Incorporate differentiated teaching strategies to cater to mixed-ability learners.
    • Integrate technology and hands-on activities to enhance learning experiences.
  • Assessment and Progress Monitoring
    • Prepare and administer formative and summative assessments.
    • Track and report student performance regularly in line with school policies.
    • Provide constructive feedback to students and parents to support improvement.
  • Classroom Management
    • Establish a positive, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment.
    • Apply effective behavior management strategies to maintain student discipline and motivation.
  • Student Support and Development
    • Identify and support students with learning difficulties or high potential.
    • Provide extra academic assistance where necessary, including remedial or enrichment sessions.
  • Professional Collaboration
    • Work closely with subject colleagues and School Leadership to ensure consistent academic standards.
    • Participate in departmental meetings, school-wide planning, and professional development workshops.
  • Administrative Duties
    • Maintain accurate student records, including attendance, grades, and classroom documentation.
    • Contribute to the development of teaching materials and school reports.

  • Co-curricular Involvement
    • Support and participate in co-curricular activities, events, and school programs.
Qualifications And Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, or a related field.
  • Recognized teaching qualification (e.g., PGDE, Diploma in Education).
  • Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in the Malaysian National Curriculum.
  • Familiarity with KSSR (Primary) and KSSM (Secondary) requirements.
  • Strong command of English
  • Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
  • Passionate about student development and continuous improvement.
