about the job
- Operational Management: Responsible for the overall operations, maintenance, upkeep, and performance of the commercial office building.
- Maintenance Oversight: Oversee day-to-day operations, as well as preventive and corrective maintenance of all building services, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical systems, fire protection, security, lifts, escalators, utilities, and car parking systems.
- Asset Reliability: Develop, implement, and manage preventive maintenance programmes to minimise downtime, extend asset life, and ensure service reliability.
- Team Leadership: Lead the team to ensure all building systems, facilities, and essential services operate efficiently, safely, and in compliance with statutory requirements, while delivering a high standard of service to tenants and internal stakeholders.
- Vendor & Project Management: Manage, supervise, and coordinate contractors/service providers to ensure outsourced works meet the required quality standards.
- Financial Planning: Responsible for budget planning, cost-saving initiatives, and energy-saving strategies.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Work closely with the leasing and fit-out departments, as well as tenants, to resolve any operational issues promptly.
- Sustainability: Propose and implement sustainable building practices in line with operational and energy efficiency goals.
skills and experience required
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Estate Management, Facilities Management, Engineering, or a relevant field.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in facilities management for commercial buildings.
- Strong technical knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, mechanical, fire safety, and building systems.
- Proficient in facilities management software (BMS/CMMS) and Microsoft Office.
