Purpose of Role

We are looking for a curious, hands-on Business Analyst who enjoys solving problems and seeing ideas become solutions people use. You will work closely with business users and an AI-assisted development team, helping shape what we build and how it works. You will have the opportunity to influence projects from discovery through launch, use Claude for reporting, and help the team make better decisions with data.

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of small to medium-sized projects from understanding the problem through delivery, launch, and follow-up. Keep priorities clear and help the team move forward.
• Understand the purpose behind each request. Ask thoughtful questions, challenge assumptions constructively, and recommend solutions that address the business problem.
• Turn ideas into clear requirements, user stories, business rules, and acceptance criteria. Use AI to support documentation and check that the details are accurate and complete.
• Explore how people use our systems, spot gaps and improvement opportunities, and suggest practical ways to simplify processes with AI and automation.
• Coordinate user acceptance testing, help users prepare for launch, and follow up on issues and feedback so the solution works well in day-to-day operations.
• Collaborate with AI-assisted development teams to review prototypes, clarify decisions, and refine solutions as the team learns.
• Keep stakeholders aligned on progress, dependencies, and next steps using tools such as Jira and Microsoft Teams. Raise blockers early and help resolve them.
• Create useful process flows, system diagrams, and data mappings that help business users and developers share the same understanding.
• Use Claude to generate reports, charts, and business summaries from approved data. Build reusable prompts and templates to make recurring reporting easier.
• Think ahead about reporting needs. Define KPIs, calculation rules, and the data fields, identifiers, timestamps, and activity tracking required before development begins.
• Work with developers to ensure reporting data is captured and retained. Check report figures and AI-generated insights against source data, and explain findings clearly.
• Follow up after launch to understand adoption and results. Recommend improvements, share what you learn, and help turn project delivery into lasting business value.

Qualifications

• A degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in business analysis or a similar role supporting software projects.
• A strong sense of ownership: you follow through on decisions, surface issues early, and stay engaged until the solution is working for users.
• Curiosity about how the business works and the confidence to ask why, connect the dots, and suggest what the project needs.
• Clear communication and practical problem-solving skills, with the ability to bring business users and developers together.
• Enthusiasm for seeing projects succeed, openness to feedback, and the ability to adapt as priorities and understanding evolve.
• Experience documenting requirements, mapping processes, and supporting UAT, with familiarity using tools such as Jira and Microsoft Teams.
• Practical experience using Claude for report generation and analysis, including writing clear prompts and checking the accuracy of outputs.
• Working knowledge of SQL, Excel, and reporting tools, with the ability to understand data relationships and plan for future reporting needs.
• An interest in exploring AI tools and applying what you learn to everyday work, with sound judgment when reviewing AI outputs and handling business data.
