Business Analyst (Compliance)

Job Summary

He/she is responsible for bridging business needs and technology solutions within the insurance domain especially in Compliance related requirement such as Anti-Money Laundering, Customer Risk Scoring, Customer Due Diligence screening. This role partners closely with business stakeholders, users, and IT teams to analyze requirements, define solution options, and drive the successful delivery of enhancements across insurance core systems and web applications. The incumbent will leverage strong insurance processes knowledge, and analytical capabilities to ensure business objectives are translated into effective, scalable, and high-quality technology solutions.

Key Responsibilities

·       Collaborate with business stakeholders and users to gather, prioritize, analyze, and document business requirements aligned with organizational goals and objectives.

·       Evaluate current business processes and systems, identify gaps, and recommend appropriate solution options to meet business needs.

·       Translate business requirements into functional specifications, user stories, and technical requirements for application development teams.

·       Analyze, document, and manage requirements within agreed project scope and timelines.

·       Conduct qualitative and quantitative impact analyses, providing recommendations for system enhancements and process improvements.

·       Work closely with application development and quality assurance teams to ensure requirements are clearly understood, implemented, and tested successfully.

·       Identify opportunities to enhance products, systems, and operational processes to improve efficiency and customer experience.

·       Facilitate effective communication and collaboration across business, IT, and project teams to ensure successful project delivery.

·       Support testing activities, including requirement clarification, defect analysis, and validation of delivered solutions.

Key Requirements

• Minimum 3 - 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst specialize in Compliance Anti-Money Laundering, Customer Risk Scoring, Customer Due Diligence screening requirement.
• Proven experience working with Insurance Core Systems and Insurance Web Applications.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the insurance industry and business processes.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to conduct impact analysis and translate business requirements into practical technology solutions.
• Experience managing complex initiatives and balancing business needs with technical considerations.
• Data-driven mindset with the ability to convert insights into actionable recommendations.
• Ability to understand and document technical workflows, process flows
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical documentation.
• Strong stakeholder management, negotiation, and facilitation skills.
• Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

·       Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, or a related discipline.

• CBAP (Certified Business Analysis Professional), Certified ScrumMaster or equivalent certification is an added advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio.
