Job Description

Business Analyst

The Business Analyst (BA) will support the bank's ECM initiative aimed at digitizing, automating, and optimizing document and content management processes across departments. The role bridges business users and technical team to ensure successful ECM deployment aligned with regulatory and operational requirements. In addition, the BA also need to develop relevant training materials / user guides to allow the Bank perform self-maintenance and configurations and onboard new processes in the ECM in the future

Responsibilities

  1. Requirements Gathering & Analysis
  • Conduct requirements gathering workshops based on Design Thinking approach with stakeholders to capture business requirements for ECM functionalities (document storage, workflow automation, IDP, compliance).
  • Analyze current manual processes (e.g., KYC, account opening, payment operations) and identify improvement opportunities for automation and/or ECM onboarding
  • Identify functional and non-functional requirements required for successful implementation of the ECM
  • Identify reporting and dashboard requirements to be part of the overall business requirements
  1. Process Mapping & Documentation
  • Develop **As-Is** and **To-Be** process maps for in-scope processes
  • Develop Customer Persona and Customer / User Journey Maps
  • Develop business requirements / functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria for ECM modules
  1. Solution Design Support
  • Collaborate with vendor and internal stakeholders including IT to validate solution design against business requirements.
  • Identify integration points and approaches for integration with core banking systems, risk management tools, and compliance frameworks.
  1. Testing & Quality Assurance
  • Prepare test scenarios and scripts for UAT.
  • Coordinate with stakeholders to validate workflows, document indexing, and security controls.
  • Facilitate in the preparation of test data
  1. Change Management & Training
  • Assist in creating system admin, user guides and training materials for ECM adoption.
  • Support communication plans to drive user engagement and smooth transition.
  1. Regulatory & Compliance Alignment
  • Ensure ECM solution meets banking regulations (e.g., BNM guidelines, data privacy laws).
  • Validate audit trails and retention policies within ECM

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong understanding of banking operations and regulatory requirements
  • Experienced in building business architectures, especially for ECM
  • Experience in ECM platforms, business process management (BPM) system implementations
  • Deep knowledge and experience in in business process improvements
  • Strong knowledge in Design Thinking and Customer Journey Mapping
  • Proficiency in business process modeling tools (e.g., Visio, BPMN).
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
