Business Analyst

The Business Analyst supports the Project Management Office (PMO) in establishing and maintaining project governance frameworks, standardized methodologies, and reporting processes aligned with PMP best practices. This role is responsible for tracking project performance metrics, maintaining the project repository, and supporting project managers in ensuring adherence to defined project lifecycles, from initiation through to value realization.

Project planning and initiation

• Support in developing the Project Charter and Project Management Plan (PMP) for new project initiatives.
• Support the development of Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), project schedules, and milestone plans using project management tools.
• Maintain and manage the project repository, including scope statements, assumption logs, and stakeholder registers.
• Conduct preliminary feasibility assessments and support cost-benefit analysis during the project initiation phase.

Project execution

• Maintain the Risk Register and Issue Log; escalate risks and issues to project managers in a timely manner.
• Prepare consolidated project status reports and dashboards for PMO leadership and key stakeholders.
• Coordinate project closure activities, including lessons-learned sessions and archiving of project documentation.
• Ensure adherence to PMO governance standards and project management methodologies across all active projects.
• Facilitate communication between project teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment on deliverables and timelines.

PMO governance and continuous improvement

• Support portfolio-level reporting by consolidating data across multiple projects and preparing executive summaries.
• Assist in the development and rollout of PMO training materials and onboarding guides for project teams.

Apply business and data analysis skills

• Support gap analysis and process mapping between current-state and future-state workflows to inform solution design.
• Design, build, and maintain live PMO dashboards to provide real-time visibility into portfolio health, project status, and resource utilisation.
• Connect and transform data from project management tools into structured datasets to automated reporting pipelines.
• Analyse project data to identify trends, anomalies, and insights; present findings to senior stakeholders to support data-driven decision-making.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business, IT, Engineering or related field.
• 3–5 years experience in PMO, project management or business analysis.
• Strong skills in project planning, governance, risk management and stakeholder management.
• Proficient in Excel, Power BI or similar reporting/dashboard tools.
• Experience in data analysis, process mapping and automated reporting.
• Strong communication, analytical and organisational skills.
• PMP, PRINCE2 or equivalent certification is an advantage.
