A leading organisation from Germany is seeking a knowledgeable and forward-thinking Business Analyst Retail System to join their IT department. This is an exceptional opportunity for you to leverage your expertise in Microsoft Business Central and digital tools, working at the intersection of technology and business to drive impactful change across regional teams.

As a Business Analyst Retail System, you will be instrumental in shaping how technology supports commercial success across the region. Your role includes :

  • Engage with business stakeholders across the region to deeply understand objectives, pain points, and process gaps within retail operations.
  • Analyse end-to-end commercial workflows using Microsoft Business Central and related applications to identify areas for improvement and standardisation.
  • Design, document, and communicate both current-state and future-state processes while highlighting opportunities for optimisation.
  • Lead requirements gathering sessions, develop user stories, and create detailed functional specifications to guide solution development.
  • Serve as the subject matter expert for Microsoft Business Central functionalities throughout APAC, configuring enhancements aligned with regional templates.
  • Ensure data quality by overseeing master data governance practices and preparing robust reporting frameworks for business users.
  • Collaborate with global teams, local key users, and implementation partners to guarantee seamless system rollouts and effective localisation strategies.
  • Identify automation possibilities using MSBC capabilities, low-code/no-code tools such as Power Automate, add-on solutions, and workflow improvements.
  • Co-create innovative digital initiatives aimed at boosting sales productivity, customer engagement, and marketing effectiveness through technology.
  • Develop user acceptance testing plans, deliver engaging user training sessions, produce clear documentation, SOPs, job aids, and act as a bridge between business functions and technology teams.

To excel as a Business Analyst Retail System in this organisation, your background should reflect substantial experience working with Microsoft Business Central or similar ERP platforms where you have supported commercial processes within retail settings as follows :

  • 4-6 years of hands-on experience working with Microsoft Business Central or equivalent mid-market ERP systems focused on commercial processes within retail environments.
  • Comprehensive understanding of retail business operations including customer-related initiatives and sales workflows.
  • Proficiency in utilising digital tools such as Power Platform (including Power Automate), BI dashboards (such as Power BI), integration flows, and automation solutions.
  • Familiarity with applied AI concepts-even at a beginner level-and enthusiasm for experimenting with AI-driven enhancements in business contexts.
  • Exceptional analytical skills enabling you to translate complex business needs into actionable digital solutions that deliver measurable value.
  • Creative mindset paired with a proactive approach towards proposing improvements that benefit both users and organisational goals.
  • Excellent communication abilities allowing you to collaborate effectively across technical teams as well as non-technical stakeholders at all levels.
  • High curiosity coupled with a willingness to learn continuously; adept at simplifying intricate concepts so they are easily understood by others.
  • Experience operating in regional or multi-country environments is considered an advantage due to the cross-border nature of many projects.
