Business Analyst

Job Summary

We are looking for a Senior Business Analyst with hands-on Turnaround Execution experience to support fast-paced, high-pressure TA and Shutdown events in the Oil & Gas sector. This role covers end-to-end requirements gathering, translation, design, testing, training, and onsite support — ensuring digital readiness and smooth execution throughout the Turnaround lifecycle. The successful candidate will be comfortable providing 24/7 onsite support during critical execution phases and can adapt quickly in time-boxed operational windows.

Responsibilities

• Lead and execute requirements gathering, translation, and process mapping for TA digital initiatives
• Design, test, and support rollout of digital tools and features during Turnaround events
• Develop and deliver training sessions for users and internal teams on newly released features and processes
• Coordinate testing activities including UAT, regression, and execution-phase issue resolution
• Write clear user stories with acceptance criteria and structure requirements into development-ready work items
• Manage and track sprint progress through Azure DevOps (ADO) boards and dashboards
• Provide strong onsite support during fast-paced, high-pressure Turnaround execution phases
• Document processes for knowledge transfer and team enablement
• Conduct UI/UX prototyping and design using Figma where required
• Perform data validation, impact analysis, SQL-based troubleshooting, and API integration support

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience as a Business Analyst
• Minimum 1 year of hands-on Turnaround Execution experience
• Strong understanding of Agile methodologies: SCRUM, Sprint Ceremonies, Backlog Refinement, User Story Writing, Acceptance Criteria
• Proficient in Azure DevOps (ADO) for Agile delivery — backlog management, user stories, sprint tracking
• Practical SQL skills: joins, updates, data validation, impact analysis, and troubleshooting
• Basic knowledge of API integration
• UI/UX design and prototyping using Figma
• Advanced Excel formulas for analysis and reporting
• Excellent problem-solving and rapid decision-making under tight operational constraints
• Effective communication with clients and teams during critical execution phases
• High adaptability in busy, time-boxed operational windows where urgency and precision are essential
• Proven ability to deliver training and raise awareness of newly released features
