Salary: Basic up to RM9,300 (Based on experience + skills) with statutory contribution + medical insurance + leave entitlement
Role Overview
The Surface Category Support role provides critical operational, analytical, and execution support to the Consumer Category team across China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, India, and Southeast Asia markets.
This role focuses on category operations, promotion execution, investment tracking, analytics, competitive monitoring, and reporting, working closely with Category Managers, Sales, Marketing, and Operations teams to ensure accurate execution and timely insights that support business decisions across diverse markets.
Key Responsibilities
Promotions & Incentive Program Support
- Support consumer promotions and incentive programs across assigned markets
- Perform calculations, complete operational forms, and track execution status using Excel
- Maintain accurate promotion and incentive trackers to ensure compliance and visibility
Competitive Price & Market Tracking
- Track competitor pricing and promotional activity across online channels
- Maintain pricing trackers and provide regular updates to support category decisions
Investment Planning & ROI Tracking
- Collect and consolidate marketing and promotional investment data across markets
- Track spend versus plan and calculate ROI using structured Excel trackers
- Ensure accuracy and transparency of investment reporting
Analytics & Performance Reporting
- Support ad-hoc and recurring analytical requests by identifying data sources, analysing data, and summarising outcomes
- Assist in category performance reporting, including sales trends, key drivers, and insights
- Prepare analysis to support business reviews and decision-making
Quarterly Forecast & Trend Analysis Support
- Support quarterly forecasting activities by analysing historical trends, seasonality, and key business drivers
- Consolidate forecast inputs aligned to targets, roadmap assumptions, and future run-rate projections
Product Marketing & Regional Support
- Support Surface Product Marketing activities
- Prepare PowerPoint materials and support consistent product messaging and positioning for regional initiatives
- Coordinate inputs and materials with regional and local stakeholders
Inventory & Sample Management
- Maintain tracking of Surface sample inventory, including serial numbers and check-in / check-out records
- Support allocation and assignment of samples to ensure accurate availability tracking
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- Experience in Consumer IT, e-commerce, retail, or category operations / support roles
- Strong Excel skills for calculations, tracking, forecasting support, and data analysis
- Ability to work with large datasets and manage multiple operational trackers with high attention to detail
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint; Power BI is a plus)
