As a Business Continuity Analyst, you will be responsible for collaborating with various business units to identify business continuity needs, design and implement business continuity management systems, and measure the impact of continuity arrangements. You will play a critical role in building strong relationships across the breadth of the business, driving continuity across the business landscape and enhancing engagement with the business continuity function.

Key accountabilities and responsibilities:

  • Lead the production and review of Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and risk assessments group wide to inform the creation and management of business continuity strategies and solutions across the group.
  • Aid in developing, capturing, testing and review of Business Continuity Plans (BCPs) and procedures across the group. Develop, capture, and review business continuity exercise programme(s) across the group.
  • Lead developing, capturing, and evaluation of business continuity documentation and capabilities across the group.
  • Lead documenting and management of business continuity management key performance indicators to effectively monitor and measure business continuity across the group.
  • Take ownership of and conduct gap analysis and/or internal audits of business continuity management systems / continuity arrangements across the group. Own the production and management of audit programme(s) across the group.
  • Develop an awareness of internal and external BCM risks, staying up to date with relevant legislation and regulations globally. Lead documenting and communication of group wide business continuity policy, process and procedure.
  • Lead in the identification, allocation and overall management of group wide business continuity risk and objectives. Champion business continuity across the organisations culture.
  • Aid in enhancing business continuity related competence and awareness across the group. Conduct formal and informal BCM training / exercises across the group.
  • Play a key role in communicating business continuity internally (across the group) and externally (Requests for Information). Aid stakeholders in determining communication requirements to underpin business continuity across the group.
  • Produce and maintain business continuity related documentation across the group. Aid in identifying, capturing and feeding into change management records across the group.
  • Retain an awareness of, and develop strong relationships with and collaborate with, key stakeholders to understand business continuity requirements mapping important business services, products, process and procedure across the group.
  • Aid in the organisation and management of business continuity related management review, and the capture and processing of nonconformities and corrective action across the group. Contribute towards the continual improvement of the BCM function and business continuity across the wider business group.

Skills, knowledge, experience & qualifications:

  • 2-3 years experience of in a business continuity, incident management or service management related field with a proven track record of business continuity preparation and response.
  • Strong understanding of, and ideally lead auditor qualified in ISO 22301:2019.
  • Experience in Business Continuity Management, having helped implement BCM strategies and programs in complex organisations, ideally SaaS based.
  • Proficient in developing Business Impact Analysis (BIA) and developing recovery requirements to assess and mitigate potential business disruptions.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and creatively in dynamic environments, effectively mitigating risks and enhancing resilience.
  • Excellent written and spoken English communication ability.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with the agility to adapt to changing business needs. Ideally experience of internal and external audit.
  • Bachelor's degree in cyber security or a related field.
  • Retaining a relevant professional certification such as, Certificate of the Business Continuity Institute (CBCI), Certified Disaster Recovery Engineer (CDRE) or Business Continuity and Resiliency Professional (BCRP).
  • Great interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport, influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization and drive alignment and promotion of a culture of business continuity.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and metrics to measure business continuity effectiveness and inform decision-making.
