Role Overview:
As the Business Development Director for Southeast Asia market, you will be the boots on the ground catalyst for our expansion. This is a high-impact, sole contributor role reporting directly to HQ. You will be responsible for the entire market lifecycle: from identifying the first local distributor to closing the region's largest industrial contracts.
We are looking for a relentless hunter who can navigate the PPE landscape independently today, with the strategic vision to build a dedicated team as the region scales.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Entry Execution: Take full ownership of the Zero-to-One expansion phase, personally identifying and capturing high-value opportunities across the SEA region.
- Direct Revenue Generation: Lead the end-to-end sales process, from cold outreach and lead generation to technical presentations and final contract closure.
- Strategic Channel Architecture: Hand-pick and onboard a premium network of regional distributors, ensuring they align with our brand standards and revenue goals.
- P&L Accountability: Manage the regional budget and pricing strategy to ensure maximum market penetration without sacrificing profitability.
- Key Account Acquisition: Personally manage relationships with Tier-1 industrial end-users, government procurement bodies, and safety officers in major manufacturing hubs.
- Supply Chain Liaison: Work directly with HQ production and logistics teams to ensure seamless delivery and localized product compliance.
- Organizational Blueprinting: Document market feedback and successful sales playbooks to serve as the foundation for a future SEA sales department.
Requirements:
- The Hunter Mindset: Minimum 8+ years of Business Development/Sales experience with a track records of exceeding targets as an individual contributor.
- SEA Territory Expertise: Deep, practical knowledge of doing business in Indonesia, Vietnam, Thailand, and Malaysia. You should already have a rolodex of industrial contacts.
- PPE/Industrial Fluency: Strong technical understanding of PPE standards or related industrial manufacturing sectors.
- Extreme Autonomy: Proven ability to work independently without a support structure, maintaining high levels of discipline and reporting accuracy.
- Mobility: Ready and willing to be in the field 50%80% of the time to meet clients and distributors face-to-face.
