Job Description

Company Description EKG M&E Sdn Bhd is a specialist provider of Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing (MEP) solutions with a strong focus on integrated building services. The company delivers comprehensive Air Conditioning & Mechanical Ventilation (ACMV), fire protection, cold water and plumbing, and electrical engineering services. EKG manages end-to-end project needs, including design, installation, refurbishment, upgrading, service, and maintenance. The team works closely with clients to provide reliable, efficient, and compliant systems for commercial, industrial, and residential properties.

Role Description The Business Development Executive is a full-time, on-site role based in Kuala Lumpur. This role is responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining a strong sales pipeline, and conducting lead generation activities through networking, referrals, and market research. The Business Development Executive will engage with prospective and existing clients, prepare proposals and quotations, and present solutions that align with EKG's MEP and engineering service offerings. Daily tasks include managing key accounts, coordinating with internal technical and project teams, tracking sales performance, and providing regular reports and insights to management. The role also involves monitoring industry trends, attending relevant events, and contributing to strategies that drive revenue growth and long-term client relationships.

Qualifications

  • Candidates should possess strong skills in New Business Development and Lead Generation, including prospecting, pipeline management, and opportunity qualification.
  • Candidates should possess Business and Account Management skills, with the ability to understand client needs, manage relationships, and support long-term partnerships.
  • Candidates should possess excellent Communication skills, including clear presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities across diverse stakeholder groups.
  • Candidates should ideally have knowledge or experience in construction, engineering, or MEP-related industries and an understanding of project-based service offerings.
  • Candidates should have strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to use CRM or sales tracking tools and prepare accurate reports and forecasts.
  • A diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field is preferred, along with prior experience in sales or business development.
  • Ability to work independently, collaborate in a team environment, and travel to client sites or project locations as required.
