Role Description

In this role, you will apply your engineering knowledge to real-world industrial water and wastewater challenges. You will conduct site assessments, analyze plant conditions, and translate technical findings into practical solutions for customers. Working alongside experienced engineers and proposal teams, you will develop customized treatment solutions, prepare technical proposals, and support commissioning discussions. This position suits individuals with strong analytical skills who enjoy technical problem-solving and want to grow into a commercially savvy engineering professional.

Key Responsibilities

  • Achieve monthly and quarterly sales revenue targets.
  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities to expand market presence.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with end-users, consultants, and clients, both new and existing, to ensure a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Understand customer needs and provide tailored, value-driven technical solutions.
  • Deliver presentations, conduct proposal discussions, and lead client meetings.
  • Conduct site visits to collect technical data, evaluate plant conditions, and support proposal development.
  • Prepare quotations, tenders, proposals, and commercial submissions.
  • Work closely with Sales, Engineering, and Applications teams to develop customised technical solutions.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies to uncover new opportunities.
  • Maintain accurate sales pipelines, forecasts, and reports for management review.
  • Present technical features and commercial benefits clearly and persuasively to clients.
  • Support marketing initiatives, including trade shows, exhibitions, webinars, and promotional activities.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering, Science, Business, or a related technical field (Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering preferred).
  • Experience pathway (one of the following):

-5+ years engineering experience in water/wastewater/environmental fields with interest in transitioning into sales; OR

-Fresh graduates with strong passion for water engineering.

  • Strong business acumen and ability to translate customer insights into effective sales strategies.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Passionate about water/wastewater engineering and sustainability.
  • Target-driven, persistent, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Proficient in English, Bahasa Malaysia, and Mandarin (spoken and written); additional languages or dialects are advantageous.
  • Agile, adaptable, and comfortable working in a dynamic environment.
  • Willing to travel locally and internationally.
  • Able to commence work immediately is an added advantage.
