About the Role

We are seeking a driven and strategic Business Development Manager to lead the growth initiatives of our BESS Division. The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, building strategic partnerships, and driving revenue growth in the fast-expanding energy storage sector. This role requires strong knowledge of the power and renewable energy industries, excellent commercial acumen, and proven business development experience.

Key Responsibilities

1) Business Growth & Market Expansion

  • Develop and execute business development strategies to expand the companys BESS footprint in local and international markets.
  • Identify, evaluate, and pursue new business opportunities, partnerships, and clients.
  • Drive market entry strategies in targeted regions, particularly in the renewable energy and utility sectors.

2) Client, Partner & Supplier Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including utilities, developers, EPCs, consultants, and government agencies.
  • Work with suppliers to strengthen collaboration, ensure competitiveness, and develop joint opportunities in target markets.
  • Lead client presentations, proposals, and contract negotiations to close deals.
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and forums to promote BESS solutions.

3) Strategic Planning & Collaboration

  • Work closely with technical, engineering, and project teams to align solutions with client requirements.
  • Provide market insights, competitor analysis, and feedback to management for strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare business forecasts, pipeline reports, and management updates.

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Engineering, or related field (MBA is an advantage).
  • 57 years experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles, preferably in the energy, power, or renewable energy sectors.
  • Strong understanding of power systems, solar PV, and energy storage markets.
  • Prior experience in the power or solar industry is preferred and will enjoy added advantage.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new markets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin, both written and spoken, with the ability to communicate effectively in a professional setting.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
  • A self-starter, team player, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as required.
