About the Job

We are looking for a highly driven Business Development Manager to spearhead business growth for our Malaysia office. This role is ideal for an experienced sales professional with an established network within the recruitment, staffing, or HR solutions industry who thrives on winning new business and building long-term client partnerships. You will play a key role in expanding CGP Malaysia's market presence by identifying new opportunities, developing strategic relationships, and driving sustainable revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a strategic business development plan to drive sales and expand client base across Malaysia.
  • Identify and engage new B2B clients in targeted industries (e.g., Food and Beverage, Retail, Healthcare, Manufacturing, etc.).
  • Promote and sell recruitment and staffing services (contract, temp-to-perm) to HR decision-makers and hiring managers.
  • Conduct client meetings, presentations, and negotiations to understand hiring needs and present value propositions.
  • Collaborate with internal recruitment consultants to ensure successful delivery and client satisfaction.
  • Maintain a robust sales pipeline and provide accurate revenue forecasts to management.
  • Track market trends, competitor activities, and client feedback to adjust strategies accordingly.
  • Ensure timely reporting using CRM tools and contribute to strategic sales discussions.
  • Represent CGP at networking events, industry conferences, and business forums to strengthen market presence and generate leads.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 5 years of B2B sales or business development experience in recruitment/staffing or a related professional services environment.
  • Proven track record in business development with an established network of clients and industry contacts in Malaysia.
  • Demonstrated success in acquiring new clients, generating revenue, and developing long-term strategic partnerships.
  • Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Commercially driven with excellent business acumen and the ability to identify market opportunities.
  • Self-motivated, results-oriented, and able to work independently while contributing to the broader business.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Experience using CRM systems and managing sales pipelines is an advantage.
