Business Development Manager/ Director (Payment Solutions)

Role Overview

Drive regional B2B sales of our payment platform, acquiring enterprise clients and scaling adoption in a fastpaced startup environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Acquire and close enterprise clients across key verticals: ecommerce, education (crossborder tuition), gaming, SaaS, and crossborder payroll/remittance
• Own the full sales cycle: prospecting pitching solutioning negotiation onboarding
• Structure commercial models to maximise transaction volume and product reach
• Partner with product/engineering teams to translate customer needs into feature enhancements
• Nurture longterm relationships with SMEtoIPO clients; conduct quarterly business reviews and drive upsell opportunities
• Monitor market trends, compliance requirements, and competitive landscape to refine gotomarket strategy and pricing
• Maintain accurate sales pipeline forecasts and report KPIs/revenue metrics to senior management

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, IT, or related field 2+ years B2B sales/BD experience in payment services (mandatory)
• Strong understanding of payment workflows, API integrations, settlement, and merchant onboarding
• Proven track record selling to medium/large enterprises, SaaS platforms, and highgrowth companies
• Experience selling to the education sector (schools/universities) is highly preferred
• Strong commercial negotiation and partnership skills
• Startup mindset: handson, agile, and comfortable with change
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Willing to travel regionally as needed
