We are seeking an experienced and commercially driven Business Development Manager to join an industry-leading global sales representation company, representing one of the world's leading travel brands. This is a senior individual contributor role designed for a strategic, high-performing sales professional who is ready to take on greater commercial responsibility and play a meaningful role in shaping business growth. 

In this role, you will take full ownership of an assigned portfolio with a dual focus on acquiring new travel trade accounts and deepening existing partnerships. You will bring a consultative, data-informed approach to business development, working independently to design and execute strategies that deliver measurable revenue growth. You will also act as a key voice within the team, contributing market intelligence, mentoring peers, and collaborating with senior leadership to inform broader commercial strategy. 

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, analytically minded, and highly effective at building relationships and influencing stakeholders at all levels. You will have the autonomy to drive your own strategies while being supported by a collaborative, high-performing team and provided with the tools and data needed to succeed.

Job Requirements

  • Proven track record in business development and account management within the travel industry, demonstrating consistent revenue growth and the ability to win and retain high-value accounts 
  • Strong consultative selling skills with the ability to accurately diagnose partner needs and develop compelling, value-driven solutions 
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex portfolios spanning multiple travel trade segments, including tour operators, OTAs, retail agents, airline partners, and platform providers 
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and build credibility with stakeholders at all levels 
  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical capabilities, comfortable working with data and translating insights into actionable business development plans 
  • Proficient in Salesforce or equivalent CRM platforms, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; experience with Power BI or Tableau is an advantage 
  • Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally with senior leadership, marketing, and operations teams to execute coordinated commercial strategies 
  • Informal leadership experience, including the ability to mentor peers, share knowledge, and contribute positively to team development 
  • Self-motivated with strong commercial acumen, a collaborative mindset, and high ethical standards 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and competing demands effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment 
  • Willingness to travel for client meetings, trade shows, and industry events as required 
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Hospitality, or a related field preferred 

Job Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of an assigned portfolio, developing and executing strategic business development plans that drive revenue growth and expand market presence

  • Proactivelyidentify, target, andacquirenew travel trade accounts, prioritizing partners with strong fit and long-term growth potential
  • Deepen and expand existing partner relationships,identifyingopportunities to increase engagement, performance, and revenue across the portfolio
  • Apply a consultative approach to diagnosing partner business needs, translating them into tailored product solutions that deliver clear and measurable value
  • Manage the full business development cycle from prospecting and needs assessment through negotiation, closing, and account onboarding
  • Leverage sales data, market intelligence, and performance analytics including tools such as Power BI and Tableau toidentifytrends, prioritize opportunities, and present strategic recommendations to senior leadership
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with inside sales, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless partner experiences and coordinated go-to-market execution
  • Contribute to team capability by sharing market insights, best practices, and a solutions-focused mindset that elevates overall team performance
  • Maintainaccurateand up-to-date records of business development activities, pipeline status, and account notes in Salesforce
  • Represent the brand at industry events, trade shows, and networking forums to build visibility, strengthen relationships, and generate new business opportunities
