Job Description

The Business Manager – Workplace is responsible for leading and expanding the Workplace business, encompassing both End-User Computing (EUC) platforms and EUC software solutions. This role combines strategic planning, client engagement, operational oversight, vendor management, technical leadership, and financial accountability. A key focus is providing pre-sales technical support and architecting infrastructure solutions aligned with customers business, technical, and operational needs — with deep expertise in Microsoft Enterprise and Citrix technologies.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities
  • Business and Product Strategy — Lead strategic development of EUC platforms (devices, endpoint services) and EUC software (e.g., Microsoft 365, Citrix, Workspace ONE), ensuring offerings align with industry trends and client requirements.
  • Technical Solutioning and Pre-Sales Support — Provide pre-sales technical support on Microsoft and EUC solutions, including Active Directory, Exchange, O365, SCCM, and Hyper-V, as well as Citrix technologies such as XenDesktop, XenApp, StoreFront, and NetScaler. Architect integrated infrastructure solutions addressing business needs.
  • Customer and Partner Engagement — Build strong customer relationships and foster productive vendor partnerships. Design client-centric service offerings that drive satisfaction and business growth.
  • Service Delivery and Operations Management — Oversee support operations, including ticket management, resource assignment, and service quality, ensuring timely resolution and excellence in EUC solution delivery.
  • Market Research and Proposal Development — Analyze industry trends and customer needs to design winning proposals and competitive pricing strategies for new business opportunities.
  • Vendor and Financial Management — Manage vendor engagements and pricing models; lead budgeting, forecasting, and profitability tracking across Workplace portfolios.
  • Quality Assurance and Technical Training — Enforce service standards, infrastructure policies, and compliance measures. Implement QA programs and support engineer development through targeted training.
  • Reporting and Strategic Analysis — Provide insights and updates on operational performance, client satisfaction, and strategic initiatives to senior leadership.

Education and Experience

Qualifications: Degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, or a related field. MBA is an advantage.

Experience: Minimum 5 years in the IT industry, including 3–5 years in product development, service delivery, or technical pre-sales within the EUC and enterprise software landscape.

Knowledge:

  • In-depth understanding of Microsoft Enterprise technologies (AD, Exchange, O365, SCCM, Hyper-V) and Citrix platforms (XenDesktop, XenApp, NetScaler, StoreFront)
  • Knowledge of digital workplace solutions and infrastructure solutioning is essential
