Business Development Manager - Insurance MNC

Location: KL

Salary: Up to RM 8,500

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategies to grow the insurance business across various distribution channels.
• Manage relationships with insurers, covering products, campaigns, training, business opportunities and operational matters.
• Guide advisers on product selection, quotations, case structuring and complex insurance cases.
• Review market trends and insurance products, and develop product comparisons, sales materials and adviser resources.
• Coordinate with insurers on new business, underwriting, policy servicing and claims matters.
• Monitor sales performance, adviser productivity, insurer contribution and product mix, providing relevant insights to management.
• Lead process improvement and digitalisation initiatives, including tools, dashboards, SOPs and knowledge resources.
• Work with internal stakeholders to maintain efficient and compliant insurance operations.
• Manage and support a team of two members.

Requirements

• Degree or Diploma in Business, Finance, Insurance or a related discipline.
• At least 3–5 years of relevant experience in insurance, financial advisory, bancassurance or financial services.
• Strong knowledge of Life, Medical & Health, Investment-Linked and General Insurance products and processes.
• Strong business development, analytical, communication and stakeholder management skills.
• CFP or RFP certification is required/preferred.

Key Product Areas

The role will primarily cover Term Life, Medical, Investment-Linked (ILP), General Insurance and Employee Benefits, with stronger emphasis on Life, Medical & Health, ILP and General Insurance.
