We are looking for a high-performing Business Development Manager (KOL Sales) with a proven track record in closing deals within a marketing or KOL agency environment. This role is focused on driving revenue, winning new clients, and owning the full sales cycle from pitch to close.
The ideal candidate is commercially sharp, confident in client-facing situations, and experienced in navigating complex sales conversations within the KOL / influencer marketing landscape. You should bring strong industry connections (brands, agencies, and KOL networks), strategic thinking, and the ability to consistently convert opportunities into revenue.
Salary Range: RM6,000 – RM8,000 (depending on experience and track record)
Key Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end sales cycle, from lead generation to closing high-value deals, particularly within KOL and influencer marketing campaigns.
- Consistently achieve and exceed revenue and sales targets.
- Identify, pursue, and convert new business opportunities through proactive outreach, networking, and pitching within the KOL ecosystem (brands, talent, agencies).
- Lead client presentations, proposals, and negotiations with a strong focus on conversion.
- Develop tailored KOL-driven marketing solutions aligned with client business objectives.
- Collaborate closely with internal teams to deliver compelling proposals.
- Stay ahead of KOL trends, platform changes, and influencer landscape to refine sales strategy.
- Track pipeline performance, forecast revenue, and report on key sales metrics.
Requirements
- Must have experience in business development/sales within a KOL agency, influencer marketing agency, or digital marketing agency.
- Proven track record of closing deals and achieving sales targets.
- Strong experience in client pitching, negotiation, and contract closure.
- Existing networks within brands, agencies, or the KOL/influencer space are highly advantageous.
- Solid understanding of KOL/influencer marketing, digital campaigns, and social media platforms.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
