We are seeking a dynamic individual to join Rémy Cointreau's subsidiary in Malaysia as Business Development Manager (KRA & HORECA) based in Kuala Lumpur. The successful candidate will manage and accelerate the performance of our business in Malaysia for Key Retail Account (KRA) and HORECA.
Key responsibilities include:
- Company Expert in Off-Trade Market (focus Modern Retail) and HORECA (focus Klang Valley) business segments.
- Manage and work closely with KRA wholesalers to maximize and optimize distribution and revenue growth, while ensuring reactivity to market conditions.
- In conjunction with marketing, develop marketing and activation plans (promotional activities, visibility & product listings) at KRA accounts with dual aim of building brand notoriety, and at minimum achieving business targets.
- Work to build the companies listings and activations at target HORECA accounts, which contribute both profitable business outcomes for the company, while increasing brand awareness and equity.
- Champion Telmont champagne within the company, with a focus on building the brand with key HORECA accounts.
- Secure and conduct (if BA is not available) tasting/education session for our brands.
- Prepare regular updates on best practice, competitor intelligence and local market conditions for areas of responsibility.
- Proactively identify new business opportunities and make recommendations to Head of Sales.
The ideal candidate will bring to the role:
Knowledge
- Knowledge in spirits markets, brand specifications, competitor products and consumer trends is preferred.
Profile & Skills
- Desires to succeed in a highly competitive and dynamic environment.
- Has at least 3-5 years commercial experience working in a business development/sales role preferably in the spirits industry.
- WSET Level 2 certificate would be an added advantage
- Pro-active team player, who is self-motivated, customer focused, entrepreneurial, agile, resilient, able to work independently and willing to accept challenges.
- Good communicator and with problem solving skills.
- Able to manage stakeholders and prioritise effectively.
- Possesses an innovative and entrepreneurial mindset.
- Good MS Office capabilities.
Education
- Diploma/Degree in a local/overseas college or university.
