Job Description

Role Summary

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving revenue growth, strategic partnerships, and project acquisition across Go Hub Capital's core solution verticals including Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS), Automated Fare Collection (AFC), Open Payment Systems, Integrated Ticketing, Smart Mobility Platforms, and ICT infrastructure.

This role requires strong commercial acumen, tender management capability, government liaison experience, and the ability to engage Chinese-speaking principals, OEMs, technology partners, and investors.

Key Responsibilities

A. Business & Revenue Growth

  • Identify, develop, and close new business opportunities across public and private sectors.
  • Drive solution sales covering Automated Fare Collection (AFC), Transit Payment & Open Loop Systems, Smart Bus / Rail Ticketing, Taxi & Mobility Platforms, Terminal Operating Systems, Intelligent Transport Management Systems (ITMS)
  • Achieve assigned revenue, margin, and pipeline targets.

B. Proposal Management

  • Lead end-to-end proposal lifecycle on Opportunity sourcing, Pre-qualification, Pricing strategy, Proposal submission
  • Coordinate cross-functional inputs from Technical / Engineering, Product, Finance, Legal, Project Delivery
  • Ensure compliance with government procurement requirements.

C. Strategic Partnerships

  • Build and manage relationships with Technology principals, System integrators, Payment providers, Infrastructure partners
  • Liaise with China-based OEMs, software providers, and hardware manufacturers.
  • Negotiate distributorships, exclusivity agreements, and JV structures.

D. Government & Regulatory Engagement

  • Manage stakeholder relationships with Ministries, Transport authorities, Local councils, GLCs, Regulators
  • Support whitepapers, RFI/RFP consultations, and industry briefings.

E. Account & Project Commercial Management

  • Oversee commercial governance post-award on Contract finalization, Variation orders, Revenue tracking, Client escalations
  • Work closely with Project & Operations teams to ensure delivery alignment.

F. Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Track industry trends across Smart mobility, Transport digitalization, Payment ecosystems, MaaS platforms
  • Provide competitor benchmarking and pricing intelligence.
  • Contribute to Go Hub's market expansion strategy (ASEAN focus).

Requirements

  • Read and interpret Chinese technical documents, proposals, and contracts.
  • Communicate (written & verbal) with Chinese principals and partners.
  • Translate commercial and technical materials (Mandarin English).
  • Support negotiations with China-based technology vendors and investors.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering, IT, Transport, or related field.
  • MBA or Master's Degree is an advantage.
  • 58 years in Business Development / Sales / Commercial roles.
  • Preferably within Transport technology, ICT systems, Payment systems, Smart city solutions, Infrastructure projects
