The ideal candidate will lead initiatives to generate and engage with business partners to build new business for the company. This candidate will be focused and have strong communication skills. They should be able to think critically when making plans and have a demonstrated ability to execute a particular strategy.
Responsibilities
- Identify, explore and secure new business opportunities.
- To ensure all the inquiries and any related with RFQ are attended and be respond before cutoff date.
- Handling report such as Risk Management report, Sales Pipeline Report, Internal Weekly Meeting.
- Troubles shoot and track job progress from beginning until the end.
- Understanding customer needs and requirements.
- Liase with all related departments/divisions to ensure job completion.
- Maintain good relations with customers.
- Meet with customers on a need to be basis to enhance relations and solve problems.
- Any other job that maybe assigned by the Management.
Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Business Studies, Marketing, Logistics, or related field.
- 2–3 years of experience in business development or sales in freight forwarding, contract logistics, or supply chain industry.
- Proven track record in hunting and acquiring new clients.
- Computer literate.
- Good verbal and written in English
- Self-motivated and customer oriented.
- Good organizing skills and able to work independently.
- Good presentation skills.
- Based at Penang.
