Role Overview
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving new business growth and account expansion across Quess Malaysia's service lines, including staffing, workforce solutions, and HR services. This role focuses on building strong client relationships, developing a robust sales pipeline, and delivering sustainable revenue growth aligned with business objectives.
You will work closely with delivery, recruitment, and operations teams to ensure seamless execution and high client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive new business acquisition across target industries through proactive prospecting, client meetings, and solution selling
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline, from lead generation to deal closure
- Develop and execute sales strategies aligned with Quess Malaysia's growth priorities
- Identify client needs and propose tailored workforce and staffing solutions
- Manage and grow key client accounts, ensuring long-term partnerships and repeat business
- Collaborate closely with recruitment and operations teams to ensure successful delivery and service quality
- Prepare and negotiate commercial proposals, pricing, and contracts
- Track sales performance, forecast revenue, and report regularly to management
- Stay updated on market trends, competitor activity, and client hiring demands
Requirements & Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field
- 35 years of B2B sales experience, preferably in staffing, recruitment, HR services, or professional services
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong understanding of the Malaysia employment and hiring landscape
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
- Commercially astute with strong proposal and deal-structuring capability
