Job Description

  • Business Growth & Market Expansion
  • Develop and implement strategies to drive business growth and expand the company's BESS presence in both local and international markets.
  • Identify, assess, and pursue new opportunities, partnerships, and client relationships.
  • Execute market entry plans for targeted regions, focusing on the renewable energy and utility sectors.
  • Client, Partner & Supplier Engagement
  • Establish and nurture strong relationships with key stakeholders, including utilities, developers, EPCs, consultants, and government bodies.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to enhance partnerships, maintain competitiveness, and create joint opportunities in priority markets.
  • Lead client presentations, prepare proposals, and manage contract negotiations to secure deals.
  • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, and forums to showcase BESS solutions.
  • Strategic Planning & Collaboration
  • Work closely with technical, engineering, and project teams to ensure solutions align with client needs.
  • Provide market intelligence, competitor analysis, and actionable insights to support strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare accurate business forecasts, pipeline reports, and regular updates for management.

The Successful Applicant


A Successful Business Development Manager (Solar PV/BESS) Should Have

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline; an MBA is a plus.
  • 5-7 years of experience in business development, sales, or commercial roles, ideally within the energy, power, or renewable energy sectors.
  • Solid understanding of power systems, solar PV, and energy storage markets.
  • Previous experience in the power or solar industry is highly preferred and considered an advantage.
  • Demonstrated success in achieving sales targets and driving market expansion.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Proficiency in English and Mandarin (written and spoken) with the ability to communicate professionally.
  • Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking capabilities.
  • Self-motivated, collaborative, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Willingness to travel both domestically and internationally as required.
