Title:Business Development Manager

Role Overview

The Business Development Manager is responsible for driving business growth by identifying, acquiring, and managing IT solutions, staffing, digital transformation, and technology project opportunities across multiple industries. The role focuses on developing strategic client relationships, generating new business opportunities, and delivering customized technology solutions aligned with customer requirements. Reporting directly to the Country Head, the incumbent will work closely with technical, delivery, recruitment, operations, and finance teams to ensure successful project acquisition, execution, and customer satisfaction while achieving revenue and profitability targets

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Project Acquisition

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities in IT services, digital transformation, managed services, software development, cloud solutions, cybersecurity, ERP, and IT staffing
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients and projects
  • Manage the full sales cycle, including lead generation, prospecting, client meetings, presentations, proposal preparation, negotiations, and contract closure
  • Develop strategic plans to penetrate target markets and expand the customer base

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and executives
  • Understand customer business challenges and recommend appropriate technology solution
  • Act as a trusted advisor by providing insights on industry trends and technology innovation
  • Ensure high levels of client engagement and satisfaction throughout the sales and delivery lifecycle

3. Solution Consulting & Proposal Development

  • Collaborate with technical and delivery teams to design tailored IT solutions based on customer requirements
  • Present company capabilities and service offerings to prospective client
  • Support the preparation of proposals, solution documentation, pricing models, and commercial submission
  • Participate in solution workshops, discovery sessions, and client discussions

4. Revenue Growth & Profitability

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales target
  • Drive revenue generation and gross profit growth through new business acquisition and account expansion
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling services within existing accounts
  • Monitor sales performance and implement strategies to improve conversion rate

5. Market Research & Industry Analysis

  • Monitor market trends, customer demands, emerging technologies, and competitor activities
  • Identify new business opportunities and high-growth industry sector
  • Develop market penetration strategies to increase brand visibility and market share
  • Provide market intelligence and business insights to management

6. Proposal Management & Contract Negotiation

  • Lead and coordinate RFP, RFQ, and tender responses
  • Conduct commercial negotiations and finalize contracts with clients
  • Ensure proposals align with company policies, compliance requirements, and profitability objectives
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely submission of proposals and supporting documentation

7. Stakeholder Management & Internal Collaboration

  • Work closely with recruitment, delivery, operations, finance, and technical teams to ensure seamless project execution
  • Provide regular updates on business opportunities, sales activities, pipeline status, and forecast
  • Support strategic business planning initiatives and growth program
  • Facilitate communication between clients and internal teams to ensure project success

8. Account Management & Customer Retention

  • Manage and grow strategic customer accounts
  • Maintain strong post-sales relationships and identify opportunities for recurring business
  • Address customer concerns and escalations promptly
  • Develop and implement customer retention strategies to strengthen long-term partnership

Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Information Technology, Computer Science, Marketing, or a related field
  • Proven experience in IT business development, technology sales, IT consulting, staffing services, or account management
  • Experience managing enterprise clients and large-scale IT projects
  • Strong understanding of digital transformation, managed services, cloud solutions, software development, cybersecurity, ERP, and IT staffing services
  • Demonstrated success in achieving revenue targets and business growth objectives
