Role Description The Business Development Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in Petaling Jaya. This role is responsible for identifying and qualifying new business opportunities, generating leads, and building a strong sales pipeline for HIKA's audio-visual solutions. The specialist conducts market research to understand client industries and competitive landscapes, prepares proposals, and supports solution presentations in collaboration with technical and sales teams. Day-to-day tasks include engaging potential and existing clients, managing follow-ups, maintaining accurate records in CRM or sales tracking tools, and coordinating with internal teams to ensure timely responses to inquiries. The role also involves nurturing long-term relationships, attending client meetings and industry events, and providing feedback to optimize business development strategies.
Qualifications
- Strong Analytical Skills and Market Research capabilities to identify trends, opportunities, and client needs.
- Excellent Communication and Customer Service skills to build trust, manage expectations, and support long-term relationships.
- Proven experience in Lead Generation, prospecting, and pipeline management within B2B or technology-related sectors.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with sales, technical, and project teams to develop tailored audio-visual solutions.
- Comfort working in an on-site, client-facing environment and attending meetings, presentations, and industry events.
- Good organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail in documentation and follow-up.
- Prior experience in business development, sales, or account management; exposure to audio-visual or technology solutions is an advantage.
- Relevant diploma or degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
