Job Description

Client Industry: Asian-based integrated market management provider specializing in healthcare and pharmaceutical brands

Location: Shah Alam

Key Responsibilities:

The Business unit Head-Ethical is responsible for the full strategic, commercial and operational leadership of the ethical business portfolio in MY.

Strategy, P&L & business Performance

  • Develop and execute strategic business plans aligned to company targets for revenue profit and market share
  • Lead annual budget planning, pricing strategy tender strategy, portfolio prioritization and resource allocation.
  • Manage overall P&L, ensuring cost efficiency and proactive risk mitigation.
  • Oversee demand forecasting, inventory planning and sales target setting across channels (Hospital, GP, Key Accounts)
  • Identify Growth Opportunities through product launches, customer segmentation insights, competitive analysis and channel expansion.

Principal & Customer Management

  • Serve as the primary liaison with principals, drive brand strategy alignment, commercial agreements, timelines and performance reviews.
  • Strengthen relationships with key stakeholders including Kols, Hospitals, tender authorities, distributors and strategic accounts.
  • Ensure accurate and timely reporting to principals: sales results, marketing execution, pipeline updates and compliance reporting.
  • Champion customer-centric initiatives to improve service quality, technical support and partnership longevity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration & Operational Excellence

  • Lead & work closely with marketing, sales, regulatory, operations, supply chain and finance teams to ensure aligned execution.
  • Ensure timely updates on product registrations, tender submissions, compliance requirements and regulatory standards.
  • Provide direction to marketing for campaigns, promotions, product positioning, and digital initiatives.
  • Drive SOP performance, inventory health and operational efficiency.

Leadership & People Management

  • Manage and coach direct reports and indirectly support field teams.
  • Build talent capability through coaching, succession planning and performance management.
  • Foster a high-performance culture with strong discipline, accountability, compliance and teamwork

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor Degree in any Field, preferably life-science/Pharma related
  • Minimum of 8 years of sales and/or marketing experience
  • Strong Analytical, planning and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills (oral & written)
  • Good interpersonal and communications dealing with supplier, principals and internal customer
  • Possess good analytical skill
  • High efficiency, independent and able to work well in fast-paced changing environment
