Job Description
A well-established US-based financial advisory firm is building its first team in the Philippines. As the founding Business Valuation Manager, you will lead complex valuation engagements for US-based clients, drive financial modeling and due diligence work, and build a high-performing local team from the ground up.
This is a high-impact, client-facing role — not a back-office or support function. You will have direct ownership of engagements, real decision-making authority, and a seat at the table as the firm establishes its Philippine operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end business valuation engagements for US-based clients across multiple industries
- Build and maintain complex financial models — DCF, income approach, market approach, asset-based approach, and cash flow modeling
- Conduct industry research, public company peer group analysis, and due diligence reviews
- Prepare and present comprehensive valuation reports and findings directly to clients
- Train, mentor, and develop a team of junior analysts
- Contribute to business development — pitch preparation, prospect research, and proposal development
- Develop working knowledge of Employee Stock Ownership Plans (ESOPs) and ownership transition structures — full training and guidance provided
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on business valuation experience using income, market, or asset-based approaches
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, Business, or related field
- Expert-level MS Excel and financial modeling skills
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills — direct US client interaction required
- Proven ability to prepare and present valuation reports independently
- Acute attention to detail with a commitment to high-quality deliverables
- Experience handling sensitive and confidential client information
Preferred Qualifications
- CPA, CFA, CVA, CPV, or equivalent professional credential
- Background in a Big 4, boutique advisory, or financial advisory firm
- Knowledge of US valuation standards — ASC 805, ASC 820, IRC 409A
- Exposure to ESOP or ownership transition valuations
- Experience mentoring or leading a small team of analysts
What's In It for You
- Founding role — be part of building the firm's first Philippines operations from scratch
- Direct US client exposure with full ownership and visibility of your work
- Strong compensation: ₱150,000 – ₱250,000/month, open to discussion beyond this range for the right candidate
- Collaborative, mentorship-driven team culture with a clear growth path
