A well-established Malaysian retail organisation with over 50 years of experience, operating a nationwide network of hypermarket-style stores focused on quality, freshness, value, and customer convenience.

Key Responsibilities

• Source, evaluate, and procure fresh products to meet quality, pricing, and commercial objectives.
• Negotiate with suppliers and maintain strong vendor relationships to secure competitive terms and reliable supply.
• Analyse sales, inventory, and customer demand data to support buying decisions and category performance.
• Monitor stock availability, product freshness, and wastage while ensuring optimal inventory levels.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to execute promotions, product launches, and commercial initiatives.
  
  

Key Requirements

• Diploma, Degree, or equivalent qualification in a relevant discipline.
• Experience in buying, procurement, merchandising, category management, or retail operations.
• Exposure to supermarket, hypermarket, grocery, retail, or fresh food industries is preferred.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, supplier management, and communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and retail reporting systems
