BUYER (Sourcing / Purchasing Specialist)

Job Responsibilities;

Execution of sourcing strategies to ensure long-term, cost-effective supply of products/services.

Execution of direct and indirect purchasing strategies to ensure on-time delivery, quality, and cost-effectiveness of the materials supplied to meet manufacturing needs.

• Sourcing of new suppliers and distributors to ensure cost competitiveness.

Supplier Management: Liaise and negotiate with suppliers on terms and conditions, including price, production lead-time, delivery terms, payment, and cancellation terms.

• Supplier Quotation Management: processing quotations updates; documentation updates and purchasing price list maintenance.

Responsible for processing purchase orders, tracking orders, and liaising material quality issues with suppliers to ensure smooth material supply to meet manufacturing needs.

• Support purchasing activities.

Other ad-hoc tasks as assigned

• Education;

Diploma or Degree in Business Management, Engineering, or Supply Chain Management

• Experience;

Min. 2 years in a procurement (sourcing or buying) capacity

• Experience in sourcing for electronic components preferred

Prior experience in an Engineering or Manufacturing environment is advantageous.

• Computer literate, hands-on experience in MS Excel

Hands-on experience using LN advantageous

• Customer service focused

Good negotiation skills

• Fast and accurate with a sense of urgency

Able to work independently

• Team player
