About the Role

Location: NTP Campus (JB), On-Site | Employment type: Full time | Working pattern: Regular working hours, with 24/7 on-call availability

You'll lead day-to-day Maintenance and Critical Response (MCR) operations at NTP Campus, coordinating maintenance, technical response and the work of on-site engineers and technicians. You'll bring hands-on expertise in both electrical and mechanical data center systems to support safe maintenance, incident response and infrastructure reliability. You'll work with the site Data Center Operations (DCO) team and be available for 24/7 on-call support.

Responsibilities

Safe and Timely Maintenance

• Plan daily work schedules, preventive maintenance and urgent corrective tasks to coordinate on-site maintenance delivery.
• Follow approved maintenance, operating and emergency procedures. Apply safety controls, including locking and tagging isolated equipment, permits to work and risk assessments.
• Coordinate spare parts checks, reports on parts used and warehouse support so parts are ready for maintenance work.

Technical Response and Infrastructure Reliability

• Lead the response when site teams need specialist help, using hands-on electrical and mechanical troubleshooting to restore normal operation.
• Track corrective actions and asset performance trends to identify opportunities to improve infrastructure reliability.
• Write incident reports, help identify incident causes and recommend ways to improve maintenance and response procedures.

Team Capability and Operational Readiness

• Lead on-site MCR engineers and technicians, guiding repair work and maintenance execution to deliver safe, reliable work.
• Train technicians on site, hold short safety briefings and check their skills so they can carry out maintenance safely.
• Coordinate maintenance and incident response with the site DCO team to keep campus systems ready for use.

Requirements

Technical Skills

• Hands-on technical skills in both electrical and mechanical data center systems, with troubleshooting experience across equipment such as uninterruptible power supplies, switchgear, generators and cooling systems.
• A diploma or degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, with experience in mission-critical facilities, supervisory responsibility and an understanding of data center infrastructure and operational workflows.
• Availability for 24/7 on-call support.

Soft Skills

• Coordinate engineers and technicians across disciplines, providing clear direction on maintenance and repair work.
• Work methodically through approved response and safety procedures during critical incidents.
• Communicate incident findings, corrective actions and improvement recommendations clearly through operational reports.

Nice to Have

• We strongly prefer Mandarin language skills, but we do not require them.
