What you'll be doing
- Develop Category Strategies: Identify and establish strategies to grow the business in both the short and long term.
- Market Analysis: Analyse industry trends, market conditions, and supplier situations to inform category strategies.
- Collaborate with Stakeholders: Work closely with internal teams, including marketing, sales, and supply chain, to execute category plans.
- Data Utilization: Use advanced analytics and multiple data sources (e.g., IRI, Nielsen) to uncover insights and drive category performance.
- Promotional Activities: Implement shopper promotions with key focus in driving offtake and increasing market share with the right channel and right customers.
- Performance Monitoring: Manage and monitor key business metrics to identify risks, opportunities, and gaps.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and guide a team of Category Managers.
- Customer Partnership with JBPs: Enable the company to be regarded by customers as a credible business partner that drives category growth and leadership.
- White Space Identification: Identify white space within the category to be the first movers and establish category leadership.
- Category Growth: Responsible to drive the category growth target to support the business in achieving yearly growth targets
What we're looking for
- Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Business Studies, or other relevant fields.
- Strong experience in Category Management, Channel Planning & Development within the Modern Trade (FMCG industry preferred).
- Minimum 1 year experience in Modern Trade Key Account Management.
- At least 7 years of relevant working experience in total.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify trends.
- Excellent English communication and presentation skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and a demonstrated business acumen.
