Chemist

Duties

• Manages all residual documentation in compliance with STERIS Quality Mangement System and ISO regulatory
  
  

requirements while adhering to GMP and GDP requirement.

• In charge of EO Residual testing as per ISO 10993-7 and ensure all testing is conducted as requested.
• Member of Institute Kimia Malaysia as Registered Chemist.
• Establish strong Customer and cross functional relations and provides exceptional Customer service and Training
  
  

requirements.

• Monitor chemical instrument and equipment calibration and preventive maintenance conducted on timely manner.
• Support necessary internal and external audits conducted by customers, notified bodies and Regulatory
  
  

Agencies.

• Takes appropriate action on assigned audit findings to implement effective corrective action. Reports all audit
  
  

findings, observations or recommendations for improvement.

• Maintains professional skills and knowledge by attending education workshops, reviewing professional
  
  

publications and participating in professional forums and conferences.

• Contributes and performs in compliance with STERIS core values, STERIS code of business conduct and
  
  

STERIS initiatives to meet corporate goals and objectives. Adheres with Global Work Instructions, local Policies and

Procedures.

• Communicates in an effective manner, collaborates with all STERIS employees, Customers, auditors and
  
  

visitors to the site in a professional, courteous and respectful manner.

• Aware of Health and Safety requirements, complies with safety policies and procedures. Promptly reports any
  
  

observed breaches or risks to the Health and Safety representative.

• Manages and monitor training and development, identifies training and development opportunities, maintains
  
  

professional skills and knowledge.

• Understand and observe the STERIS SAFETY requirements when performing the work within workstation and
  
  

work area.

• Participate as necessary to audits by Customers, certification bodies and licensing authorities
• Responsible for approval of documents and Certificate of Analysis.
• To analyse and prepare and ensure laboratory has valid Method Performance Validation, Method Performance
  
  

Verification and Measurement Uncertainty as applicable.

• Responsible for development, modification, verification and validation of methods.
• Responsible for analysis of results, including statements of conformity, opinions and interpretations.
• Responsible for reporting, reviewing and authorization of results.

Education Degree

Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry

Required Experience

Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Applied Chemistry, Chemical Science, Biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.

3 to 5 years of laboratory, quality control, analytical testing, or manufacturing experience is preferred for experienced roles.

Experience in regulated industries (medical devices, pharmaceutical, chemical, food, or manufacturing) is an advantage.
