We're looking for a dynamic and visionary CEO to lead TNG Digital Remittance Sdn. Bhd., the licensed remittance engine behind TNG eWallet's international money transfer capabilities.
In this high-impact role, you'll be responsible for the full spectrum of business growth, operations, regulatory stewardship, and stakeholder management. Your leadership will directly influence how millionsincluding Malaysians, migrant workers, students, and SMEssend and receive money across borders in a faster, safer, and more inclusive way.
KEY RESULTS AREA
Own and Grow the Business
- Drive topline growth, user acquisition, and profitability for the remittance vertical within TNG eWallet.
- Shape and execute strategies for outbound and inbound flows, unlocking high impact use cases.
- Build strategic alliances with global remittance partners, banks, and payout networks.
- Lead commercial negotiations to strengthen our reach and cost efficiency.
- Implement Board-approved policies and risk controls; flag and resolve any major control issues.
Lead Regulatory & Stakeholder Engagement
- Represent the company to BNM, PayNet, and other key regulators and industry bodies.
- Ensure timely, accurate reporting and adherence to all regulatory requirements.
- Build a compliance-first culture by equipping teams with the right training, tools, and oversight.
- Maintain robust systems to monitor risk, AML/CFT, and partner/agent compliance.
Drive Product Innovation & Team Excellence
- Partner with product, tech, compliance, and marketing teams to co-create a world-class remittance experience.
- Inspire and grow a purpose-driven team, aligned around innovation, impact, and inclusion.
- Champion a culture that thrives on collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Key Deliverables
- Market Expansion: Lead strategic growth in Malaysia and explore cross-border opportunities. Navigate regulatory pathways and license requirements where needed.
- Partnership Leadership: Deepen relationships with financial institutions, card schemes, and remittance players to optimize costs and enhance service integration.
- Innovation & New Use Cases: Identify and execute new opportunities whether product features, payment methods, or segment-specific solutionsto grow relevance and adoption.
- Industry Voice: Be the face of TNG Remittance in Malaysia. Shape policy dialogues, contribute to fintech ecosystems, and unlock meaningful public-private partnerships.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Strong leadership experience in fintech, remittance, or payments, ideally with a CEO/Country Manager background.
- Hands-on knowledge of Malaysia's regulatory landscape (BNM, AML/KYC, FX, cross-border payments).
- Track record of scaling businesses, managing P&L, and driving strategic growth.
- Skilled at engaging regulators, banks, and commercial partners across complex environments.
- Analytical and action-oriented thinker, fluent in English and Malay.
- Currently based in or willing to relocate to Malaysia (visa not provided).
