Over the past few years, the business has delivered strong organic growth, scaling its operating units while investing in infrastructure, supply chain capabilities, and new business lines. As the Group enters its next phase, the focus is on professionalising group finance, strengthening governance, enhancing financial visibility, and supporting disciplined expansion.
To support this journey, the shareholders are seeking to appoint a Group Chief Financial Officer to partner closely with the leadership team in building robust financial foundations and enabling sustainable long-term growth.
Role Overview
Reporting directly to the CEO and working closely with the Board, the Group CFO will be responsible for the overall financial stewardship of the organisation. This role will provide strategic leadership across financial planning, governance, capital management, and performance oversight for a complex, multi-country operation.
The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in enabling growth initiatives, strengthening financial discipline, and driving long-term shareholder value.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and shape the Group's financial strategy, including long-term planning, budgeting, forecasting, capital allocation, and performance management across all operating markets.
- Act as a strategic advisor to the CEO and Board on key initiatives such as market expansion, investments, M&A, and major capital decisions.
- Oversee group financial reporting and governance, ensuring full compliance with MFRS/IFRS, Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, Securities Commission Malaysia regulations, and regional statutory obligations.
- Manage treasury and capital structure, including cash flow, liquidity, banking relationships, foreign exchange exposure, funding strategies, and balance sheet optimisation.
- Strengthen corporate governance, risk management, tax, and compliance frameworks in line with public-listed best practices.
- Lead investor relations and Board-level financial communications, including engagement with shareholders, analysts, fund managers, regulators, and preparation of AGM and Board materials.
- Build and lead a high-performing regional finance function, standardising policies and reporting, developing country finance leaders, and partnering closely with the business to drive profitability and operational efficiency.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related discipline.
- Professional qualification such as MIA, CPA, ACCA, ICAEW, or equivalent.
- 1520 years of progressive finance experience, including senior leadership roles at Group CFO or Regional Finance Head level.
- Prior experience within public and Bursa-listed companies or large regional organisations.
- Deep understanding of Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, Securities Commission regulations, and corporate governance standards.
- Demonstrated experience in capital markets, fundraising, M&A, and investor relations.
