Chief Technology Officer

Role Summary

As the CTO of TEIZA, you will be the primary architect of the technical vision for Malaysia's first institutional-grade Omnilayer protocol. You will lead the development of our L2 Public Chain and L3 Sovereign Layers, ensuring the protocol meets the rigorous security and compliance standards required by central banks and national government bodies. This is a high-impact leadership role that sits at the intersection of deep-tech innovation and national digital infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Roadmap: Define and execute the long-term technical roadmap for TEIZA's zkEVM infrastructure, ensuring sustainable ecosystem growth and protocol evolution.

Architecture Oversight: Oversee the high-level design of L3 Sovereign Layers, prioritizing seamless interoperability, industry-leading performance, and institutional scalability.

Regulatory Technical Liaison: Serve as the primary technical point of contact for national financial and securities regulatory bodies (e.g., Bank Negara Malaysia, Securities Commission).

Engineering Culture: Build, scale, and mentor a world-class engineering team; instill a security-first mindset and implement a robust Secure Software Development Lifecycle (S-SDLC).

R&D Leadership: Drive cutting-edge research into privacy-preserving technologies (ZKP), advanced account abstraction, and future-proof cryptographic standards.

Stakeholder Management: Translate complex technical concepts for the Board of Directors, government stakeholders, and enterprise partners to align technical execution with business goals.

Qualifications

Experience: 10+ years in technical leadership roles, with at least 5 years of substantial experience specifically in Blockchain or Web3 infrastructure.

Technical Depth: Expert-level understanding of Zero-Knowledge Proofs (ZKPs), zkEVM, and Ethereum scaling solutions (Rollups, Validium).

Security Expertise: Deep experience with institutional-grade security frameworks, including Hardware Security Modules (HSMs), Multi-sig configurations, and advanced key management.

Leadership Track Record: Proven success in managing high-performance engineering squads within the FinTech, Cybersecurity, or critical infrastructure sectors.

Strategic Thinking: Ability to balance rapid innovation with the stability and compliance requirements of a national-scale financial protocol.

Nice to Have

PhD or Master's degree in Computer Science, Cryptography, or a related field.

Active presence in the global blockchain space (e.g., speaking at major conferences, contributing to EIPs).

Experience in the deployment of stablecoins, tokenised deposit or national identity systems.
