Supervise and monitor all lift installation, testing, and commissioning works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications and relevant codes.
Inspect site readiness, including lift shafts, pits and machine rooms, before installation begins.
Check the quality and alignment of lift components such as guide rails, cars, doors and control systems.
Verify materials and equipment delivered to site against approved specifications and manufacturer data.
Witness on-site and factory acceptance tests (FAT), including load, safety gear, speed and emergency tests.
Ensure that all works are carried out safely and in accordance with local safety regulations and lift standards.
Coordinate with contractors, consultants and project teams to resolve technical and quality issues.
Attend site and coordination meetings and provide progress updates to the project manager or consultant.
Maintain accurate site records, inspection reports and non-conformance documentation.
Review and endorse contractors work completion, test certificates and as-built documentation.
Requirements:
Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Building Services Engineering (or equivalent).
Minimum 58 years experience in lift and escalator installation supervision or inspection.
Familiarity with major lift brands (e.g., Otis, Schindler, KONE, Mitsubishi) and their installation procedures.
Good knowledge of relevant lift codes and standards (e.g., EN 81 series, ISO standards, local lift regulations).
Strong understanding of quality control, safety and site management practices.
