About the Role

AEGIS Clinic & Surgery is looking for a reliable, professional and service-oriented Clinic Assistant / Patient Service Executive to join our growing healthcare team.

This is a front-line role involving patient reception, clinic administration and day-to-day clinical support. You will work closely with our doctors to ensure patients receive a smooth, efficient and welcoming experience from registration through consultation, treatment and follow-up.

We are looking for someone who is organised, responsible, comfortable communicating with patients, and willing to learn. Previous clinic experience is an advantage, but suitable candidates without healthcare experience may also be considered and trained.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome patients and manage registration, appointments and enquiries
• Handle WhatsApp messages, telephone calls and appointment scheduling
• Assist doctors during consultations, procedures and minor surgery when required
• Prepare consultation and treatment rooms before and after procedures
• Perform basic clinical support duties under the doctor's direction
• Assist with wound dressing, specimen handling and other clinic procedures after appropriate training
• Dispense medications according to the doctor's prescription and clinic procedures
• Explain medication instructions and follow-up arrangements as directed by the doctor
• Process payments, issue receipts and handle basic cashier duties
• Maintain accurate patient records and administrative documentation
• Manage medication, consumables and clinic inventory
• Monitor stock levels, expiry dates and restocking requirements
• Maintain cleanliness, organisation and infection-control standards throughout the clinic
• Coordinate laboratory investigations, medical reports, referrals and patient follow-ups
• Support vaccination, health-screening, dermatology and minor-procedure services
• Assist with general clinic operations and other duties reasonably required for smooth daily operations

Requirements

• Minimum SPM or equivalent qualification
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Able to communicate professionally in English and Bahasa Malaysia
• Mandarin-speaking ability is highly preferred due to communication needs with a significant proportion of our patients
• Comfortable using computers, WhatsApp and basic office software
• Responsible, punctual and attentive to detail
• Able to maintain patient confidentiality and behave professionally
• Comfortable working in a clinical environment involving blood, wounds and medical procedures
• Able to work independently as well as part of a small team
• Willing to learn and take on additional responsibilities as the clinic grows

Previous experience in a GP clinic, specialist clinic, hospital, pharmacy, dental clinic, healthcare reception or customer-service role will be an advantage.

Working Environment

AEGIS Clinic & Surgery is a modern private GP clinic providing general medical care together with dermatology, minor surgery, wound care, health screening, vaccinations and selected medical procedures.

The successful candidate will receive structured on-the-job training and progressively develop competency in both patient-service and clinical-assistant responsibilities.

Our clinic operates daily from 8:30 AM to 10:00 PM, and working hours will be arranged according to the clinic's roster and employment terms.
