Cloud & Data Platform Engineer

The Role

Join our forward-thinking Cloud Delivery Team as a Cloud & Data Platform Engineer! You will not just manage infrastructure; you will architect the platforms that power next-generation Data and AI workloads. You will own the design and delivery of secure Landing Zones and Data Platforms, bridging the gap between infrastructure, security, and business intelligence.

What you will be doing

• Architect and deploy scalable, robust enterprise cloud and data platform designed to meet customers business requirements.
• Develop and communicate opinions, blueprints, and best practices in enterprise cloud and data adoption.
• Identify, setup, and manage process required for the cloud delivery team.
• Document all processes, configurations, and procedures to establish a knowledge base for the team including automation scripts for efficient deployment.
• Stay up-to-date with modern methodologies and best practices to enhance the infrastructure and development processes.

What we need to see

• At least 3 years experience in an engineering role with solid skills in cloud and data infrastructure and services.
• Strong proficiency in Azure followed by AWS Cloud, with hands-on experience in designing and deploying enterprise cloud and data architectures.
• Hands-on experience in containerization (e.g. Docker/Kubernetes).
• Skilled in Python and Bash for automation tasks.
• Skilled in configuration management and orchestration tools (e.g. Ansible).
• Skilled in infrastructure-as-code (e.g. Terraform).
• Skilled in CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins/GitHub Action/GitLab).
• Understanding of networking, database operations, and security.
• Comfortable in conducting technical deep dives into application designs and performing root cause analysis.
• Certifications in Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate are valued.

You are a good fit if you

• You hate doing the same thing twice and build scripts/pipelines to solve it.
• You can speak Infrastructure to the DevOps team and Data to the analytics team.
• You understand FinOps principles and build solutions that are not just technically sound, but cost-effective for the business.
• Understand Enterprise IT landscapes, making it easy to align and integrate modern solutions with complex business systems.
• Proactively identify challenges and opportunities, taking initiative to drive solutions.
• Are comfortable conversing and writing in Malay, English, and Mandarin.
