Cloud / DevOps Engineer
[Remote - Malaysia/ Philippines]
As a Cloud/DevOps Engineer, you will architect, secure, and operate our cloud infrastructure to support highly scalable and resilient services. You will work closely with product and data teams to deliver a robust platform with strong automation, observability, and operational excellence.
- Responsibilities:
- Architect, maintain, and evolve our GCP infrastructure, with a strong focus on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) clusters
- Manage infrastructure as code using Terraform, ensuring reproducibility and compliance
- Implement and maintain GitOps practices using ArgoCD for automated deployments
- Define, track, and improve Service Level Objectives (SLOs), Service Level Indicators (SLIs), and error budgets
- Set up and enhance observability (logging, metrics, tracing) with tools like Prometheus, °, and OpenTelemetry
- Improve CI/CD pipelines for backend/frontend applications (Laravel, NestJS) to enable faster and safer releases
- Implement backup, disaster recovery, and security best practices across critical services
- Contribute to data pipeline reliability and dashboarding (Apache Superset, BigQuery, PostgreSQL)
- Collaborate with developers to foster a DevOps mindset, driving automation, self-service, and continuous improvement

Requirements
- Profile:
- 3+ years in Cloud/DevOps/SRE roles with hands-on GKE expertise
- Proven experience designing or integrating advanced fraud-detection systems, ideally leveraging Google CPT
- Strong skills in Terraform, Kubernetes, and GitOps (ArgoCD)
- Experience implementing SLO/SLI-based monitoring and alerting
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines and release automation
- Solid understanding of cloud security, compliance, and cost optimization
- Strong documentation, problem-solving, and cross-team communication skills
- Bonus: Experience with SaaS platforms, sensitive data handling, or high-availability architectures
