About the Role
Were scaling the AirTouch ecosystem with a brand-new smart-home platform on AWS.
Youll help build it end-to-end: combining native AWS services with Kubernetes-hosted microservices, then hardening for scale, security and uptime. What sets this role apart: we expect every engineer to embrace AI in their daily work using tools such as GitHub Copilot, AWS Bedrock, and AI-powered observability to write code faster, detect issues earlier, automate runbooks and optimise costs. Youll help define and refine these practices for the whole team.
Responsibilities
We welcome both junior and senior candidates who can demonstrate:
- Cloud fundamentals experience (or strong grounding) in designing, building and monitoring modern AWS/Kubernetes stacks.
- AI mindset proven use of generative AI or ML-powered tooling to boost productivity, reliability or insight.

- Your responsibilities will encompass the following key areas:
- Solution Architecture: Collaborate with team to define the solution architecture of the platform
- AI Software Development: Design, develop, and implement software components across various parts of the application stack using AI coding tools, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Efficiency & Optimization: Ensure software components are optimized for performance and can handle anticipated user loads.
- Debugging & Troubleshooting: Identify, debug, and resolve software defects and issues, ensuring the software functions as intended.
- Continuous Integration & Deployment: Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines to streamline software deployment and updates.
- Collaboration: Work closely with product managers, analysts, and other stakeholders to refine requirements and deliver software that meets business needs.
- Database Management: Design, develop, and manage efficient and scalable databases, ensuring data consistency, security, and performance.
- Software Testing: Develop and execute tests to validate software functionality, security, and performance, ensuring high-quality releases.
- Technical Documentation: Document software architecture, design decisions, and user guides for effective team collaboration and future reference.Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- Bachelors degree in Technology or Computer Science
- At least 3 years experience or more in any programming language especially on web based and micro services.
- Understanding of AI tooling and a willingness to embrace and champion new AI use cases
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a relentless self-drive
- Exceptional attention to details and time management skills
- Team player and good collaborator
- Excellent communicator
Required Skills
- Experience using GenAI tools and agents such as Cursor, Windsurf, CoPilot, Claude.
- Experience writing clean well-structured code. Ideally in Java, NodeJS, or Go.
- Experience in AWS or similar cloud services.
- Experience working with Databases. Ideally a combination of SQL and NoSQL.
- Version Control: Mastery with Git.
- API Development: Creation and maintenance of RESTful services.
- Testing: Familiarity with unit testing, integration testing.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Cloud Architectural Patterns: Demonstrated knowledge of widely-adopted cloud architectural patterns. E.g. Serverless, Event-Drive, Containerization.
- Observability, using platforms such as DataDog to monitor application logs, APM, Custom metrics.
- AWS Services: Demonstrated expertise in deploying, managing, and optimizing key AWS services such as Cognito, EC2, S3, IAM, VPC, RDS, Lambda, IoT Core and associated services for IoT solutions.
- CI/CD: Familiarity setting up continuous integration and continuous deployment pipelines. Experience with tools like AWS CodeBuild, CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, and Azure DevOps.
- Containerization: Knowledge of Docker and AWS container solutions like ECS or EKS.
- Microservices: Experience in designing, developing, and deploying microservice architectures.
- CloudFormation or Terraform: Proficiency in infrastructure as code.
