Key Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain Manufacturing Execution System (MES) solutions and process/operations automation in manufacturing (Industry 4.0) environments.
• Develop and support interfaces integrating MES with ERP systems (e.g., SAP) and shop floor automation systems (e.g., IoT platforms).
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand manufacturing processes, gather system requirements, and deliver tailored IT solutions.
• Translate user requirements into technical specifications and liaise with development teams to ensure successful solution delivery.
• Document technical solutions, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and user manuals to support knowledge sharing and system maintainability.
• Provide training to business users and support IT Acceptance Testing (ITAT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) for MES and MES-extended solutions.
• Develop scripts, services, and dashboards to support manufacturing KPIs, traceability, and data-driven decision-making.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues in manufacturing applications to ensure minimal disruption to production.
• Provide 24/7 production support for MES and MES-extended solutions.
• Support system upgrades, migrations, and implementation activities for manufacturing systems.

Qualifications

Education

• Master's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or Professional Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

• 3–8 years of experience in software development or system analysis within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Experience with change management processes and System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience working in or leading virtual, cross-functional teams (operations, product/process, production, and quality engineering teams).

Skills & Knowledge

Manufacturing & Domain Knowledge

• Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, MES, and extended MES solutions.
• Experience with CMF shop floor modeling is required.

Methodologies (Added Advantage)

• Knowledge of FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) and 8D problem-solving methodologies is an advantage.

Technical Skills

• Strong programming skills in languages such as C# (.NET), Java, Python, or similar.
• Strong proficiency in SQL/Oracle databases, including stored procedures.
• Experience with web and/or Windows applications and API development.
• Familiarity with Agile methodology and Scrum is an advantage.

Soft Skills

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Collaborative mindset with a proactive approach.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
