Join the Asia Collateral Middle Office team to deliver outstanding collateral management services for OTC derivatives, repo, and loans. You will interact with internal and external clients, resolve relationship issues, and manage margin calls and collateral disputes. This role offers opportunities to collaborate with senior risk, technology, and sales partners, and to support business growth through process improvements.

As a Collateral Management Analyst within the CIB Operations team, you will be responsible for the issuance, receipt, and monitoring of margin calls in accordance with collateral agreements. You will resolve and escalate collateral disputes, record and reconcile cash or securities received or posted as collateral, and manage principal trades facing clearing houses. You will work closely with clients and internal partners to ensure seamless operations and strong risk control.

Job responsibilities

  • Generate collateral statements and send margin calls to clients for both standard and non-standard agreements.
  • Answer incoming collateral calls from clients and compare them to JPMorgan's exposure.
  • Follow up on all margin calls made by JPMorgan on a timely manner, agreeing on the amount and type of collateral to be moved.
  • Folloe up on any counterparty fails.
  • Reconcile portfolios and resolve disputes, especially for large or credit-sensitive customers.
  • Perform portfolio reconciliations on derivative trade portfolios to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Complete month-end tasks, including computation and agreement of interest on cash collateral held or delivered.
  • Resolve incoming queries regarding client portfolios in a timely manner.
  • Manage margin-related cash and security settlements.
  • Collaborate with senior risk, technology, and sales partners to evaluate and manage credit risk across clients.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance or Accounting

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in the banking and finance industry.

  • Working knowledge of OTC derivative products.

  • Excellent client communication skills and telephone manner, with the ability to build strong client relationships.

  • Highly numerate with proficiency in Outlook, Excel, and Word.

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to review and implement process improvements.

  • Ability to work in the EMEA shift aligned with Central European Time (CET) as this position supports clients across EMEA region.

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

  • Familiarity with Trioptima, settlements, or collateral management is preferred.
